What is this tool?

The Temperature Converter converts between Celsius, Fahrenheit, and Kelvin. Enter 100 Celsius and get 212 Fahrenheit and 373.15 Kelvin. Enter 32°F and get 0°C. Cooking, travel, science, and weather all use different scales. US weather is in Fahrenheit; most of the world uses Celsius; science uses Kelvin. This tool handles all three—enter a value in any scale and see the equivalents. Formulas are exact; no approximation.

Celsius and Fahrenheit have different zero points and step sizes. Water freezes at 0°C and 32°F; it boils at 100°C and 212°F. Kelvin starts at absolute zero (-273.15°C); a change of 1 K equals 1°C. The tool applies the standard formulas: F = C × 9/5 + 32, K = C + 273.15. Conversions update as you type. No API, no server—all client-side.

Use it when following a recipe from another country, when checking weather for travel, or when doing science or engineering calculations. Teachers use it for units lessons. The tool handles negative temperatures (e.g. -40°C = -40°F) and extremes. For most everyday use, precision to one or two decimal places is plenty.
